​By purchasing or receiving an admission ticket(s), and in consideration for being able to visit and/or participate in activities and/or events hosted by Culture Summit, I agree, understand, and acknowledge, on my own behalf and on behalf of any individual who uses a ticket or reservation made by me, as follows (collectively, the “COVID-19 Provision”):

Proof of Vaccination and Face Coverings: Culture Summit will continue to follow state, local and venue requirements, as directed by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Culture Summit 2022 is being held in San Francisco, California, where authorities do not require proof of vaccination or face coverings to enter indoor venues. At Culture Summit 2022, face masks will be optional and individuals may wear a mask if they choose. As information pertaining to COVID-19 requirements is ever evolving, we will continue to update as needed based on state, local and venue requirements.

Our venue host, City View Metreon, provides additional COVID-19 health and safety policies that help bolster cleanliness and mitigate risk. Culture Summit encourages attendees to participate in the ways that make them feel the most comfortable (e.g. wearing a face covering when indoors, limiting handshakes, etc.).

Acknowledgement of Risk: I acknowledge that an inherent risk of exposure to the disease COVID-19 (as defined by the World Health Organization and any strains, variants, or mutations thereof) and SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that can cause COVID-19) (collectively, “COVID-19”) exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious communicable disease that can lead to severe illness and death. No precautions can eliminate the risk of exposure to COVID-19, and the risk of exposure applies to everyone.  I acknowledge that the risk of exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable or infectious disease includes the risk that I will expose others that I later encounter, even if I am not experiencing or displaying any symptoms of illness myself. By visiting and/or participating in activities at Culture Summit, I agree to voluntarily assume any and all risks in any way related to exposure to COVID-19, including illness, injury, or death of myself or others, and including without limitation, all risks based on the sole, joint, active or passive negligence of any of the Released Parties, named below. I acknowledge that my visit and participation are entirely voluntary.

Limitation of Liability: I agree and acknowledge that Culture Summit shall not be liable for any damages suffered by me due to exposure to COVID-19 at any Culture Summit event(s), including any and all liability, claims, causes of action, damages, costs, or expenses of every kind, including all claims and causes of action based on the sole, joint, active or passive negligence of any of the Released Parties, arising out of or in any way relating to exposure to COVID-19 during my visit to and/or participation in activities at Culture Summit. This limitation of liability and the assumption of risk set forth above is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law.

Released Parties: The Released Parties are: Culture Summit and their respective parents, subsidiary, and other affiliated or related companies, and all officers, directors, employees, shareholders, members, agents, contractors, sub- contractors, representatives, successors, assigns, insurers, and volunteers of each of the foregoing entities.

Binding Arbitration: I agree that, upon election by either party, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising under or relating in any way to this COVID-19 provision or exposure to COVID-19 during my visit to and/or participation in activities at Culture Summit, now or in the future, will be resolved by binding arbitration before a single arbitrator appointed by the American Arbitration Association.  The arbitration will be held in San Francisco, CA.

Governing Law: These terms and conditions, including the COVID-19 Provision, shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
